Vladyslav O. Lonskyi

Vladislav Olehovich Lonskyi was born on May 13, 1998 in Kivertsi, Volyn region. In 2013, he graduated from Kivertsi Secondary School No. 4, and during 2014-2015 he studied at the Volyn Regional Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training. After graduating from the lyceum, he chose to study at the Odesa Military Academy with a specialty in "Management of Airborne Assault Troops". In the 1st year, he was promoted to the rank of junior sergeant. In 2019, he graduated from the Odesa Military Academy with honors, receiving the rank of lieutenant. For further military service, he was assigned to the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade as a platoon commander, and later became a company commander. As part of the 3rd BTGr of the 80th OAAB, he repeatedly participated in the Joint Forces Operation in eastern Ukraine since 2019. In June 2021, he was promoted to the rank of senior lieutenant, and in April 2022 - to the rank of captain. From the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, his place of service was the East and South of Ukraine, where the fiercest battles took place: Kherson, Bakhmut, Pisky, Kramatorsk, Bilohorivka, Izyum. He was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of the III degree. He was killed on September 20, 2022 during a tank shelling near the village of Oskil, Izyum district, Kharkiv region. He was buried on September 24, 2022 in his hometown of Kivertsi.
