20-year-old soldier Vladyslav Senkiv (call sign Scar) was killed on August 3, 2023 while carrying out a combat mission in the Orikhiv direction. The warrior received fatal injuries as a result of enemy artillery shelling. Vladyslav was born in the city of Borshchiv, Ternopil region. He studied at the Ternopil National Technical University named after Ivan Puluj. He was just starting to build his life, had many plans and dreams. But he longed the most to live in a free and independent Ukraine. During the full-scale invasion, the man served in the 116th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a senior rifleman-operator. Despite his young age, he bravely went into battle and carried out all combat missions. "I have not seen such brave warriors as him. He did not deserve this, as he had neither children nor a wife. He only dated a girl named Nastya... Scar was a very dear person to me, my support and pillar," said his comrade Petro. "Bright and smiling, with a kind and sincere gaze - this is how we see Vlad in the portrait. It is painful to realize that this cruel war has cut short a young life, and at the same time it fills us with pride for such courageous and brave warriors like Vladyslav," said the Borshchiv community. The defender was buried in his hometown. At home, his parents, brothers and sisters were waiting for him.
