- Defender Vladislav Sukhanov was killed in action on March 11, 2022, during the defense of his native Mariupol from Russian invaders. The warrior turned 29 in February. Vladislav was born in Mariupol, Donetsk region. He stu at the Kharkiv Institute of Internal Affairs. After the birth of his son, he enrolled at Mariupol State University. He had a specialty as a driver and loved working with cars. With the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war in 2014, Vladislav voluntarily took up the defense of his native country. He participated in the ATO / OOS. In 2018, he joined the ranks of the National Guard. He served in the 12th Operational Brigade and held the position of a driver-electrician. In 2021, he completed his service and returned home. When the full-scale war began on February 24, 2022, Vladislav evacuated his family from Mariupol and returned to defend the city. In the ranks of his native 12th National Guard Brigade, the man continued to fight against the invaders. "He proposed to me on our first date, it was unexpected. He really wanted a family, coziness. When my loved one was evacuating us from Mariupol, I asked, 'What's next?' He pointed to the child and replied, 'The main thing is to save him.' When Vladislav was in Mariupol, we started planning for a daughter... He was confident that victory would come soon and we would be together. When there was no connection, I worried about how he was doing. As soon as I found the internet, I received messages from him: 'Everything is fine, don't worry. How are you? Write. I love you.' I managed to reply that I loved him when I received a call saying that Vladislav was no more... Life was cut short in an instant. He defending his family, his native Homeland. Being a warrior was in his blood," Vladislav's hero wife Alla shared. Vladislav is survived by his wife Alla and son Kirill. Posthumously, soldier Vladislav Sukhanov was awarded the Order of "Courage" III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
