- Paratrooper Vladislav Leonenko (call sign Maliy) was killed in action in Donetsk region on June 9, 2022. He is now forever 22 years old. Vladislav was born in the city of Popasna in Luhansk region. He loved Ukraine very much, wrote poetry, drew, and was actively involved in sports, especially boxing and kettlebell lifting. He was an instructor in the BARS training complex. After school, he went to serve in the 80th separate airborne assault brigade. He performed tasks in the area of the Joint Forces Operation. According to his sister Kristina, Vlad was a real man and a hero of his country. He knew what it means to be a real man. He knew how to be honest, fair, and dignified. Many people looked up to him and still do. He saved the wounded, evacuating them under fire from the battlefield to the hospital. Under the rubble of the terkon, he did not leave his commander, knowing that this could be his last task. After the victory, Vladislav dreamed of creating a family and working in the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. But it was not meant to be. The defender was buried in the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv, since his hometown was temporarily occupied by Russian military. Vladislav left behind his mother and two younger sisters.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
