Vladyslav R. Shurhaliuk

Senior soldier Vladislav Shurgalyuk was killed on October 19, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Berestove in the Donetsk region. He was 26 years old. Vladislav was born in the village of Tatariv in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. He studied at the local general education school of I–II degrees. In 2015, he graduated from the Kolomyia Economic and Legal College, obtaining the qualification of junior specialist in hotel service. During the full-scale war, he defended Ukraine as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 8th separate mountain assault battalion of the 10th brigade. He was a mechanic-driver. "You will forever remain in our hearts... We will not forget and we will not forgive..." wrote his wife Myroslava. "Our Hero died during a mortar attack in the area of the village of Berestove in the Bakhmut district of the Donetsk region. The indescribable pain of loss! Sincere condolences to the entire family of the fallen Warrior!" noted the Vorokhtyansky village council. The defender was buried in his native village. Vladislav is survived by his parents, wife, and two sons.
