Vladyslav V. Mendrul

Mendrul Vladislav Volodymyrovich was born on May 12, 1994 in the city of Oleksandriia, Kirovohrad region. Later, the family moved to the city of Vatutine in Cherkasy region. Here he graduated from school and a vocational school. After serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he entered the National Academy of Land Forces named after Petro Sahaidachny. In April 2015, he was called up for military service and took an active part in combat operations. During the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, he was a platoon commander of the artillery division of a separate artillery brigade. He was killed on July 19, 2022 during an artillery barrage in the Mykolaiv region. He was buried with honors on July 25, 2022 in the city of Vatutine, Cherkasy region. For personal courage and selfless actions, demonstrated in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath, Mendrul Vladislav Volodymyrovich was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, 3rd degree (posthumously).
