- Soldier Vladislav Shein (call sign Typhoon) was killed on November 8, 2022 while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Novosilske in the Luhansk region. Ukrainian defenders were holding the flank when the occupiers went on the offensive, breaking through the defense line. When the enemy carried out a tank bombardment, Vladislav was walking ahead. He saved the lives of four comrades, but received fatal injuries himself. Vladislav was born and lived in Dnipro. He was a student at the Yaroslav Mudryi Kharkiv Law University. He also completed the military department in parallel. In his hometown, he was a well-known athlete. He practiced judo since the age of 6 and repeatedly won awards at championships in the Dnipropetrovsk region and all-Ukrainian tournaments. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, on March 3, 2022, on his 21st birthday, the young man went to the front as a volunteer. He joined the ranks of the 128th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a rifleman of the 233rd separate battalion. At first, their battalion served in Lozova in the Kharkiv region, and then in the Zaporizhia direction. "Vlad was smart, cheerful, the best at everything, studied well. In the summer he came to the front for a day, passed the exams and entered the master's program, dreamed of being a prosecutor. He had a girlfriend Sofia, with whom he was engaged, they dreamed of a wedding... Vlad was a very strong, courageous person with a kind heart and a good sense of humor, confident, ready for any trials, with big plans and ambitions. He always went only forward. This is a great loss for everyone who knew him," said the warrior's father, Vladislav Vladimirovich. Vladislav was buried in the village of Slobozhanske in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He is survived by his parents, brother, fiancée, loving family, friends and comrades-in-arms. The defender was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree. On December 1, 2023, a memorial plaque was solemnly unveiled in memory of the hero at gymnasium No. 29 in Dnipro, where he studied.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
