- Senior Lieutenant Vladislav Timoshenko (call sign Sokol) was killed in action on July 19, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Lyubomirivka in Mykolaiv Oblast. In two months, on September 17, the officer would have turned 23 years old. Vladislav was born in the village of Usti, Vinnytsia Oblast. He stu at a school there. In 2020, he graduated from the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy, specializing in "Military Management". He was fond of fishing, loved dogs. After graduating, the young officer began his military service in the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He commanded a platoon in the 10th Separate Battalion "Polissia". He participated in the JFO. With the start of the large-scale invasion, Vladislav performed combat missions as a company commander on the Southern Bug direction. "There are good, bright people. Vladislav was just like that. A reliable friend and support for classmates, parents, and later for comrades. Vladislav protected his loved ones from sad news, joked, and hid all the difficulties of military life. His favorite words, which he always repeated to his family: "Everything will be fine." Always restrained, balanced, with a sense of responsibility, he dreamed of a military career since school. He started playing sports. And then he entered the academy. After completing his studies, he was sent to a military unit. He fought in the East. With the start of the invasion, he had the opportunity to stay in the unit, but he did not abandon his guys. Balanced, brave, quiet, and laconic, Vladislav, a true patriot of his land, his Ukraine, will forever remain in our hearts and live in our memory," said Maria Hedz, the deceased's class leader. The officer was buried in his native village. Vladislav left behind his father Vasily Vasilyevich, his mother Oksana Oleksandrivna, and his brother Artem. Posthumously, Senior Lieutenant Vladislav Timoshenko was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
