Vladyslav V. Velychko (Shtorm)

Senior soldier Vladislav Velychko (call sign Storm) was killed on July 1, 2023 near the village of Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region. While performing his duties, the fighter received fatal injuries during an enemy artillery barrage. The defender was 25 years old. Until the fall of 2023, he was considered missing. Vladislav was born in the village of Zamostia, Volyn region. After finishing school, he received vocational education at the Manevichy Vocational School. Before the invasion, he worked as a warehouse manager at the ECOPOWER company. From the first days of the full-scale war, he joined the ranks of volunteers and went to defend his country. He served in the 125th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a senior rifleman of the 219th separate battalion. During his service, he received the medal "For the Defense of Ukraine". "He bravely fought for the territorial integrity of Ukraine, sparing no effort and protecting his family and loved ones," said the brother of the fallen Iván Velychko. On November 30, 2023, they said goodbye to Vladislav in his native village. He is survived by his mother, brother, and wife.
