Vladyslav Yu. Filipenko

Border guard Vladislav Filipenko was killed in action on the first day of the full-scale war, February 24, 2022, in the Kherson region. The 21-year-old fighter was in a car during a combat mission when the occupiers began an air strike. Vladislav was a native of Mykolaiv. He stu at local school No. 51. Then he graduated from the Mykolaiv Building College. In his free time, he loved playing football. In 2020, the 18-year-old boy went to military service. He served in the ranks of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. He was a border service inspector of the 3rd category, an assistant grenade launcher of the fire platoon of the border detachment. Vladislav was buried in the village of Brylivka in Kherson. The defender was survived by his parents, sister, and brother. Junior Sergeant Vladislav Filipenko was posthumously awarded the Order of "Courage" III degree.
