Vladyslav Yu. Kryzhanovskyi

Lieutenant Vladyslav Kryzhanovskyi was killed on March 18, 2023 at the Desna Military Training Center named after Prince Yaroslav the Wise in Chernihiv region. According to preliminary information from the State Bureau of Investigation, a shell detonated during routine firing at the military unit. Vladyslav was 24 years old. He was born in the village of Avhustivka, Chernihiv region. He completed 9 grades at Druzhbynska secondary school and enrolled in Nizhyn Agrarian College. On September 30, 2017, he was drafted for contract service in military unit A1479. In 2018, the young man went to study at the Kharkiv Military Institute of Tank Troops. In his free time, he was interested in cars, technology, and extreme sports. He loved to travel and hitchhiked across half of Ukraine in a few days. In 2021, he married his beloved Marina. The couple lived in Oster. The full-scale war caught Vladyslav in Kharkiv, where he was studying in his 4th year. He defended the city and then fought for Ukraine in the Bakhmut direction. He took part in the liberation of Izium, Balakliia, and Kupiansk. After the redistribution, the man was sent to serve in Desna, in the 300th training tank regiment, where he held the position of commander of the training platoon, a teacher in the training company of the training battalion. Vladyslav Kryzhanovskyi was posthumously awarded the "For Exemplary Service" badge and the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, 3rd degree.
