- 27-year-old senior soldier Volodymyr Lytvyn (call sign Speaker) was killed on March 10, 2023 in the area of the village of Tonenkе in the Donetsk region, while rescuing his comrades from shelling. When they were carrying the last wounded soldier into the dugout, an enemy mine hit nearby. Volodymyr was killed from severe injuries 2 minutes later, his comrades did not even have time to provide first aid. That day, the lives of 10 soldiers were saved, some of whom were evacuated by Volodymyr himself. He was born in the village of Zahrebellya, Poltava region. He lived in the village of Kalaydyntsi. From childhood, he loved to bake something delicious. Later, he obtained the profession of a cook-confectioner at vocational school No. 53 in the village of Voinyha. After graduating, he worked in his specialty. Then he served his mandatory military service. When he returned, he got a job at the Lubny bakery. During the full-scale invasion, the man took up the defense of his native Ukraine. He served in the 116th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of rifleman. "Vovchyk distinguished himself by exceptional bravery, courage, heroism and self-sacrifice. He was always devoted to the oath, never hid behind the backs of his comrades, and was always the first. Volodymyr was a true warrior, a man of his word, an example of indomitability and strength of spirit. He was always a defender and a support for me, his younger sister. He was fair and could not stand injustice, he always told the truth to people's faces, no matter how it was. He never deceived, he was genuine, sincere and smiling, which is why his relatives, friends and acquaintances loved and love him," said Yulia Martiuk. The hero was buried in the village of Kalaydyntsi, Poltava region. Volodymyr is survived by his parents, sister and brother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
