Volodymyr A. Shevchenko (Sheva)

Soldier Volodymyr Shevchenko (call sign Sheva) died on November 1, 2023 in a hospital in Dnipro. On October 25, he sustained serious injuries in a battle near Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 36 years old. Volodymyr was from the city of Rivne. He studied at school No. 13 and Rivne Vocational School No. 1, where he obtained the profession of painter-plasterer. In civilian life, he worked as a welder at a factory. In 2014, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation, then returned to peaceful life. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine again. He served in the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh. He was a scout. He fought on the eastern front. "We are very proud that we have such a father - brave, fair and courageous. Our support. We are proud that we are his family. We love him very much and miss him," said Alina Shevchenko. The warrior was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the cemetery in Rivne. At home, a wife and two daughters were waiting for Volodymyr.
