Volodymyr H. Ivakh (Vova)

Volodymyr Ivakh was killed on November 25, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The defender was 49 years old. Volodymyr was born in the village of Batyatichi, Lviv region. He received his secondary education there. He worked as a construction worker. During the full-scale war, the man defended Ukraine as part of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo. He was a rifleman-assistant grenadier. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the country in Luhansk, Kherson, and Donetsk regions. "He was a wonderful man and an incredible dad," said the wife of the fallen Olga. "How much he planned to accomplish, how much he wanted a better and free future for his children, how he dreamed of celebrating Ukraine's Victory together with his family when he returned from the front. But the enemy prematurely cut short his life, depriving his sons of a loving father, and his wife of a beloved husband... We will be forever grateful to Volodymyr for the dear price at which he defended each of us!" - wrote in the Lviv Regional State Administration. The serviceman was buried in his native village. Volodymyr was awaited by his wife, two underage sons from his second marriage, and an adult son from his first.
