- Junior Sergeant Volodymyr Korzun (call sign Agat) was killed in action on July 15, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Korobochkine in the Kharkiv region. A month before his death, he turned 25 years old. Volodymyr was born in the village of Kruk, Zhytomyr region. In 2014, he entered the Zhytomyr National Academy of Internal Affairs. Four years later, he was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine for a three-year term of service. He loved life and was in a hurry to live, as he had many plans. Since 2019, he has served under contract in the engineering and sapper unit of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade named after Hetman Ivan Sirko. He took part in the JFO in Luhansk region. During the full-scale war, Agat, along with his comrades, defended the Kharkiv region from Russian occupiers. "A very good and bright person, he gave himself entirely to his work. He said: 'I'll do all this, go through this difficult path, so that it doesn't get to my children.' He loved animals, which also drew to him. He was a brave, courageous soldier, a devoted friend, a good son and brother, a faithful and caring lover," said Alina, the defender's girlfriend. The hero was buried in the town of Horoshiv, Zhytomyr region. Volodymyr left behind his parents, his girlfriend, and his brother. Posthumously, Junior Sergeant Volodymyr Korzun was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
