Volodymyr I. Andriiko (Chykanka)

Soldier Volodymyr Andriiko (call sign Chykanka) was killed on March 16, 2023 in battle for the city of Kreminna in Luhansk region. The warrior's life was cut short by enemy mortar fire. The defender was forever 35 years old. Volodymyr was born in the village of Nova Mykhailivka, Poltava region. He graduated from Reshetylivka Professional Agrarian Lyceum No. 52, where he obtained the profession of cook-confectioner. He lived in Poltava. For a long time he was engaged in repair work. Recently he worked in a taxi service. During the full-scale war, the man joined the defense of his native country from the Russian invaders, replenishing the ranks of the defenders. He served in the 95th Separate Airmobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a scout, performing complex combat missions. "Our Volodymyr was a cheerful person and the soul of the company. He had a lot of friends. He always went forward, stretched out a helping hand. He had many plans for life, in particular he wanted to give his children the best." said the fallen warrior's wife Liudmyla. The paratrooper was buried in his native village. Volodymyr is survived by his parents, brother, wife, children, other relatives, many friends and comrades-in-arms.
