Volodymyr I. Kurnat

Kurnat Volodymyr Ivanovych was born on October 1, 1972 in Lviv. He studied at Lviv Lyceum No. 18. He graduated from the National University "Lviv Polytechnic" with a degree in "Instrumentation". He was a police major. After graduation, he worked as a senior operative officer in Lviv. Later, he was the head of the criminal investigation department of the Yavoriv district police department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region. After returning to Lviv, he held management positions in the criminal investigation service. He was interested in fishing and skiing. On the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he went to war as a volunteer. He served in the engineering company of the 103rd separate brigade of the territorial defense forces. He was killed on September 26, 2022 as a result of an explosion on an enemy mine near the village of Mykolaivka, Kramatorsk district, Donetsk region. On October 6, 2022, he was buried at the Lychakiv military cemetery. Volodymyr Kurnat is survived by his parents and sister.
