- Born on July 10, 1977, in the village of Pishchane, Kremenchuk district, Poltava region. He graduated from the general education school of the village of Pishchane (now Pishchanska Gymnasium), then from Kremenchuk Automotive Mechanical College (now Kremenchuk College of the National University named after Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi). From the second half of the 1990s until 1998, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He lived in the city of Kremenchuk, Poltava region. Since the 1990s, he worked as a milling machine operator in the model shop of the Kremenchuk Automobile Plant, and from October 2006, he was a milling machine operator at the Limited Liability Company "Scientific and Production Firm 'Tehvagonmash'" (city of Kremenchuk). In August 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Kremenchuk United Military Commissariat of Poltava region. Since 2015, he continued military service under contract. He served as the commander of the 2nd mechanized platoon of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0501, village of Kluhino-Bashkyrivka, Chuhuiv city council, Kharkiv region). He participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Call sign "Tekwon." On March 6, 2016, Junior Sergeant Shapoval was killed during a patrol in the city of Shchastia, Novoaidar district, Luhansk region, as a result of an explosion from a grenade while driving a VAZ vehicle. On March 9, 2016, he was buried in the Sector of Fallen Heroes of the Anti-Terrorist Operation at the Svyshtov Cemetery in the city of Kremenchuk.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
