Volodymyr M. Boiarkin

Soldier Volodymyr Boyarkin was killed in action on March 12, 2022, in the Kharkiv region in a battle with Russian invaders. The defender was forever 27 years old. Volodymyr was a native of the village of Yarmolintsi, Khmelnytskyi region. He stu at Novosilska school, then at Yarmolynetskyi professional lyceum. He received higher education at Kharkiv Automobile and Road University. Since childhood, he was fond of cars, military equipment, and weapons. In 2017, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The man served in the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade. From 2017 to 2019, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation/Joint Forces Operation in the area of Avdiivka, Donetsk region. In 2020, when the brigade went on rotation, he transferred to the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade to remain in the combat zone. After the end of the contract, Volodymyr went to work for "Nova Poshta" as a district specialist at the Kharkiv Innovation Terminal, but later returned to the army: civilian work turned out to be too quiet for him. On December 15, 2021, Volodymyr again signed a contract with the 92nd OMBr. Two weeks before the full-scale Russian invasion, Volodymyr's brigade was deployed to positions near the border. On February 24, 2022, the Kharkiv region was the first to come under heavy enemy shelling. And the 92nd brigade held the defense near the border with Russia. "On March 11, communication with Volodymyr was lost, and a week later, the platoon commander called the family and delivered the terrible news. Where exactly he and under what circumstances, Volodymyr's relatives do not know to this day. One can only guess. Volodymyr was a very good guy, responsible, sensitive, always striving to help others. He had character and will to defend his opinion, loved his country and consciously gave his life for it," said the colleagues of the deceased. The defender was buried in his native village. Volodymyr left behind his mother and brother.
