Volodymyr M. Henych

Born on May 10, 1994, in the village of Verblyuzhka, Novhorodkivskyi district, Kirovohrad region. In 2011, he graduated from the Verblyuzhka educational complex "general education school I-III degrees - preschool educational institution," and in May 2012 - from the Interregional Center for Professional Retraining of Discharged Servicemen with a specialty in "Automobile Repair Mechanic. Driver of motor vehicles (category B)" (city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region). He served his mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He studied at the 38th Joint Training Center of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0704, city of Vasylkiv, Kyiv region). He served in the 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade (fighter) of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1786, city of Vasylkiv, Kyiv region). After that, he served as a grenade launcher in the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0409, city of Novograd-Volynskyi, Zhytomyr region). Since the spring of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On July 4, 2014, soldier Henych was killed as a result of shelling of the checkpoint of the mechanized brigade in the area of the village of Velyka Verhunka in the northeastern outskirts of the city of Luhansk. He is buried in the cemetery of the village of Verblyuzhka, Novhorodkivskyi district, Kirovohrad region.
