- Gusarievich Volodymyr Mykolayovych was born on January 14, 1999, in the city of Ovruch, Zhytomyr region. In 2020, Chief Sergeant Volodymyr Gusarievich signed a contract for military service in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. The serviceman enjoyed well-deserved authority and respect among his comrades. Goal-oriented, he positively influenced the combat readiness of the personnel by his personal example. On April 22, 2023, Volodymyr Gusarievich, as part of the rapid response border guard unit of the 9th border detachment, set out to perform combat missions in the Luhansk region. During his time in the active combat zone, he demonstrated personal courage and heroism. On May 29, 2023, during offensive-assault actions in the area of the village of Karmazynivka in the Luhansk region, the assault group led by Chief Sergeant Volodymyr Gusarievich came under heavy enemy fire. Not retreating a step during the mortar shelling, Volodymyr, diverting the enemy's fire onto himself to allow his comrades to evacuate the wounded, sustained injuries incompatible with life. For personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath, Chief Sergeant Gusarievich Volodymyr Mykolayovych was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.Memory Book of the MIA System
