Volodymyr M. Kushnirchuk

Sergeant Volodymyr Kushnirchuk was killed on January 25, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Bilhorivka in the Donetsk region. The 27-year-old warrior's life was cut short by enemy mortar fire. Volodymyr was born in the village of Tysmenychany, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He studied at the local school and then graduated from a technical school. In 2017, he served in the military. Later, he worked at a gas station. In the early days of the full-scale war, the man became a serviceman of the 8th separate mountain assault battalion of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. He was a grenadier. As part of his unit, he participated in battles in the Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions. Over 11 months, he received three concussions, but he always returned to his comrades to continue the fight. "Nothing will fill the void in my heart from the loss of my little brother. My good, kind boy, who never refused to help anyone. Strong and brave, he went to the hell of war, knowing that the chances of returning from there alive were almost none. He never told us what it was really like there, he never complained, always: 'I'm doing well.' The last message from my brother: 'I love you.' And the answer 'And we love you too' remained unread. But our Vovchyk knows how infinitely strongly we loved him and will always love him. I will miss you all my life, my Volodya..." wrote the fallen soldier's sister Nadia. The warrior was buried in his native village. At home, Volodymyr was awaited by his parents and sister.
