Volodymyr M. Kutsopal

Volodymyr Mykolaiovych Kutsopal was born on April 2, 1970 in the city of Konotop, Sumy region. In 1977, he went to the 1st grade of Konotop Secondary School I-III degrees No. 14. After graduating in 1985, he mastered the profession of a carpenter at the Konotop Vocational School No. 4. Later, from 1988, he worked at the Konotop Wagon Repair Plant, and in his free time he was engaged in dog training. From February 2015 to July 2016, he was in the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operation in eastern Ukraine. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, he served as a machine gunner in the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the battles for Kryvyi Rih, together with his assistant, he took a position to cover his comrades who were getting into an armored personnel carrier. They destroyed many enemies, thereby saving the lives of their fellow soldiers. As a result of the explosion of an enemy shell, Volodymyr Kutsopal was wounded. He was killed on April 5, 2022 during a battle in the village of Osokorivka, Novovorontsovskyi district, Kherson region. The farewell ceremony for Volodymyr Kutsopal took place on April 9, 2022 in the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in Konotop, Sumy region.
