Volodymyr M. Matevoshchuk (Desant)

Soldier Volodymyr Matevoshchuk (call sign Desant) was killed on October 29, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Pavlivka in Donetsk region. The warrior was 42 years old. Volodymyr was born in the village of Radoshivka, Ternopil region. He served in the airborne troops. He lived in the village of Mizyurynets in Ternopil region. He was a mechanizer: planting, sowing, and harvesting good crops. In recent years, he worked in Poland. The full-scale war caught the man abroad. After waiting for the completion of his work contract, Volodymyr returned home and went to defend his homeland. He joined the ranks of the 68th separate rifle brigade and served as a grenade launcher. "He was the dearest person in my life, taken from me by this damned war. He was kind, cheerful, hardworking, sincere, and never refused anyone help. He had golden hands — whatever he touched, he put everything in order. He worked all his life for his family. His biggest wish was to marry off his son Volodymyr and wait for a granddaughter. But it was not meant to be..." said the wife of the fallen, Lydia. The warrior was buried in the village of Mizyurynets in Ternopil region. Volodymyr is survived by his wife and son.
