Volodymyr M. Savenko

Defender of Bakhmut Volodymyr Savenko was killed on December 5, 2022 during the defense of the city from the occupiers. The warrior was 39 years old. Volodymyr was born in the city of Fastiv, Kyiv region. He stuwas killed at the local school No. 7. Then he obtained the profession of an accountant at a vocational school. For about 20 years he worked at an asphalt plant. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Volodymyr joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to the front. He fought as part of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodnyi Yar". "There is a force that can take away from life, but never from memory! May the light, good memory of you live forever! Kingdom of Heaven!" wrote his friend Anna Kobylinska. "Vovchyk, you will always live in our hearts. You were a very bright and beautiful Person! Rest in peace, Hero!" wrote his acquaintance Anna Ivanchenkova. "Kingdom of Heaven to you, Vovo. We will always remember you. Thank you for your feat, for protecting us. You are always in my heart. Condolences to the family," wrote Fastiv resident Tetyana Sobkovska. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory of the International Cemetery in Fastiv. Volodymyr had two native aunts left: Nadiya and Vira. He buried his parents and sister at a young age.
