While carrying out a combat mission near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, the soldier was seriously wounded by an enemy sniper. Volodymyr was born in the village of Velykyi Liubin, Lviv region. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he carried out combat missions in the Mykolaiv, Kherson and Donetsk regions. "The father was an example and mentor. A loving husband, father and friend. He set an example of a Christian family... He gave his life for all of us. Glory to Ukraine!" - said the deceased Volodymyr's son Volodymyr. "A heavy, unspeakable, great, irreparable loss for the family, our community, and all of Ukraine. No words can alleviate the pain of losing loved ones. But with sadness and grief, we express our sincere condolences to mother Vira, wife Iryna, son Volodymyr, and daughter Yevheniia, whom the loving son, husband and father Volodymyr Semenovych was so proud of and wanted to protect. We express our condolences to the relatives, friends, colleagues and comrades-in-arms of the serviceman. Humble bow to the Hero, whom the Heavens have taken away. Eternal memory to the brave son of the Ukrainian people, the courageous and true patriot of Ukraine. We will remember!" - said the Velykyi Liubin community.
