Volodymyr M. Soika

47-year-old Sergeant Volodymyr Soika was killed on December 27, 2022 while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Yakovlivka in the Donetsk region. Volodymyr was born in the village of Kniaghynyn in the Rivne region. Here he received his education, lived and worked. He got married and raised children. He worked as a driver in a bakery in the village of Varkovychi. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man became a fighter in the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he carried out combat missions on the front line. Above all, he believed in victory. "He gave his life for the Victory that we are all waiting for. We express our sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of the fallen warrior. Eternal and bright memory to the Hero of Ukraine, who defended the country and each of us. He remained faithful to the oath to the Motherland until the end!" - noted in the Myrohoshchanska community. The fighter was buried in his native village. Volodymyr is survived by his mother, wife and children.
