Volodymyr M. Vasylyk

Soldier Volodymyr Vasylyk was killed on December 3, 2022 in battle with the occupiers near the village of Yakovlivka in the Donetsk region. The fighter was 26 years old. Volodymyr was born and lived in the village of Mali Lanky, Lviv region. He received secondary education. He worked as a concrete worker. He was married and raised a son. The man dreamed that his family would live in a free country. He made plans for the future and loved life. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Volodymyr went to defend his loved ones in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He became a soldier of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo. He fought alongside his comrades-in-arms in various hot areas of the front. In the fall, his unit was sent to defend the Donetsk region. "Volodymyr was a real, kind, very brave, strong person, he always helped everyone. He had many plans for life, he started building a house for the family, but the war changed everything... He gave his life so that we could live in a free and independent Ukraine. He and his comrades-in-arms received severe injuries incompatible with life. Volodymyr was my universe, my support, my beloved husband," wrote the widow of the fallen. The defender was buried in the village of Strilky, Lviv region. At home, Volodymyr's wife Myroslava and son Matviy were waiting for him.
