Volodymyr M. Yelistratov (Mitiai)

Military serviceman Volodymyr Yelistatov (call sign Mityai) was killed on November 11, 2022, near the village of Pavlivka in Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he suffered a fatal mine-explosive injury. The defender was 45 years old. Volodymyr was originally from Rivne region. He lived in the village of Slobidka. He graduated from Mezhyrich Secondary School of I–III levels. He worked as a security guard. He had many hobbies, loved fishing, going to the forest for mushrooms, making knives and various metal products by hand. He loved animals very much, especially dogs. During the full-scale war, he took up arms to defend his homeland in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade. He held the position of senior gunner. "He was a wonderful person. He loved to joke, was very kind and sensitive. He was always positive during the war, never lost heart," said the deceased's eldest daughter, Anastasia. The soldier was buried in the village of Slobidka in Rivne region. At home, his wife and two daughters were waiting for him.
