Volodymyr O. Hlupak (Atstek)

28-year-old Marine Vladimir Glupak (call sign Aztec) was killed on September 5, 2023 near the village of Novomayorskoye in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he sustained fatal injuries during enemy artillery shelling. Vladimir was born in the village of Uspenivka in the Zaporizhia region. He graduated from a rural school. He lived in the city of Berdyansk in the Zaporizhia region. He worked in the port. He was passionate about cars and their repair. During the full-scale war, in March 2022, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 35th separate marine brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Ostrohradskyy. He was an operator of the anti-tank unit. "He was a very positive person, always smiling and cheerful," said Alina, an acquaintance of the deceased. The defender was buried in the village of Suha Hrun in the Sumy region. Vladimir is survived by his relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.
