Volodymyr O. Kyrychuk

23-year-old soldier Volodymyr Kyrychuk was killed in battle for the Kherson region. During the assault on the village of Bilohorka on October 1, 2022, he sustained a head injury. When they tried to evacuate the young man from the battlefield, a shell hit the vehicle and it exploded. The defender was considered missing for a long time, as the body was severely burned. Later, he was identified through DNA analysis. Volodymyr was from the city of Rivne. He graduated from the International University of Economics and Humanities named after Academician Stepan Demyanchuk with a degree in "Physical Culture and Rehabilitation". He loved sports the most, was a pupil of the CYSS "Veres", played for the football teams "Odek", "Zviaghel". In peacetime, he worked at the "Rumyanets" company. During the full-scale invasion, he defended Ukraine as part of the 46th separate air assault brigade. "Losing my brother, I lost a huge part of my soul... We were very close and friendly. I'm still waiting for him to come home," wrote Yulia Lomtatidze. The warrior was buried in the Rivne region. The defender left behind a mother and a sister. The warrior was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
