Volodymyr O. Nosik (Bas)

Soldier Volodymyr Nosik (call sign Bass) was killed on February 8, 2023 in the village of Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. He covered his comrade during the battle and received shrapnel wounds incompatible with life. Volodymyr was 31 years old. He was born in the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. He obtained the profession of a mechanical engineer at the Donbas State Machine-Building Academy. He first worked as an expeditor and then as a storekeeper at a private enterprise. He loved sports and cycling. He cooked deliciously. In November 2022, he was called up for military service. He joined the ranks of the 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. "In peacetime, Volodymyr was cheerful, sociable, and hardworking. He loved his little son very much. When he received the summons, he unhesitatingly stood up to defend Ukraine. I asked him to take care of himself, but he wanted to be proud of him. He enjoyed authority among his comrades-in-arms," said his mother, Svitlana Nosik. The warrior was buried on the Alley of Glory in his hometown. The defender is survived by his mother, wife, and son. The defender's father was killed of a heart attack when he learned of his son's death. Volodymyr Nosik was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
