Volodymyr O. Oliinyk (Moriachok)

Sailor Volodymyr Oliinyk (call sign Morychok) was killed on March 20, 2023 during the assault on enemy positions in the area of Vuhledar, Donetsk region. The defender was 37 years old. Volodymyr was a native of the village of Knyahynonok, Volyn region. He received secondary education. In civilian life, he worked in construction. Before the invasion, he was working in Poland. He dedicated his free time to his family. With the start of the full-scale war, the man returned from abroad and went to the front. He served in the 35th separate brigade of the marine corps. "My husband is a true hero, a patriot. He did not hide, did not leave the country, but on the contrary - when everyone was trying to leave Ukraine after the invasion, Volodya returned from Poland, where he had worked for many years. From the first days, he went to defend our land from the enemy. We are proud of him, we love him and we miss him very much," said Oksana Oliinyk. The marine was buried in the village of Harazdzha, Volyn region. The warrior is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. Volodymyr Oliinyk was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
