Volodymyr P. Huminskyi (Ares)

Senior soldier Volodymyr Huminsky (call sign Ares) was killed on November 3, 2023 while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Terni in the Donetsk region. The life of the warrior was cut short by a bullet from an enemy sniper. The defender was 39 years old. Volodymyr was born in the city of Horodenka, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He graduated from the local secondary school No. 2. Then he studied at the Horodenka Sports and Technical Club of the TSO of Ukraine. He got married and lived with his family in the village of Romaniv, Zhytomyr region. He worked as a taxi driver, in construction, and went abroad to earn money. On the second day of the full-scale war, on February 25, 2022, the man was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Volodymyr served in the 61st Separate Mechanized Brigade, holding the position of rifleman-assistant grenadier. "My husband is my Hero. The words that are engraved in my heart forever... I am proud to be the wife of such a man... I am proud of my love. I have to go forward and worthily carry his memory. He was the best husband, the dearest father for our children, a wonderful son, a faithful comrade, a friend and a companion! Very energetic and hardworking, everything was burning in his hands. He loved life and hurried to live. He hurried so that the children would have everything that others have, and did even more for us!" - said the wife of the deceased Iryna. The defender was buried in the village of Romaniv, Zhytomyr region. Volodymyr is survived by his wife Iryna, son Nikita, daughter Emma, relatives, friends and comrades.
