Volodymyr P. Mahliona

Born on July 29, 1990, in the village of Bodaky, Zbarazh district, Ternopil region. From 1991 to 2002, he lived with his family in the village of Vysilok, Novouyshytsky district, Khmelnytsky region. From 1997 to 2002, he studied at the general education school in the village of Zamikhiv, Novouyshytsky district. Since 2002, after the death of his father, he lived in the urban-type settlement of Vyshnivets, Zbarazh district, Ternopil region. He graduated from the general education school of the urban-type settlement of Vyshnivets. He served his mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On July 9, 2015, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He underwent training at a military training ground near the village of Mala Lyubasha, Kostopil district, Rivne region. He served as a gunner of the 2nd section of the 2nd anti-aircraft artillery platoon of the 3rd company of the 57th separate motorized infantry brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit field post V2304). From the summer to autumn of 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On November 12, 2015, soldier Volodymyr Mahlyona was killed during a shelling by militants of a platoon stronghold near the urban-type settlement of Zaytseve, Horlivka city council (since 2016 - Bakhmut district) in Donetsk region. On November 16, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Bodaky, Zbarazh district, Ternopil region.
