Volodymyr P. Omelchuk

Soldier Volodymyr Omelchuk sustained fatal injuries near the village of Verbove in Zaporizhzhia. He was killed on September 12, 2023, on his 30th birthday. Volodymyr was from the village of Honcharyha in the Khmilnytskyi region. After finishing school, he enrolled at the Novoselytskyi Agricultural Vocational School and obtained a driver's qualification. In peacetime, he worked as a security guard. He served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine on conscription. On July 10, 2023, he was mobilized. At the front, he held the position of a scout in the 132nd separate reconnaissance battalion of the airborne assault troops. He held the rank of soldier and was awarded the maroon beret. "Volodymyr was a kind, positive and sincere person. A good father to his daughter Viktoria and a wonderful husband. He is a Hero who gave the most important thing - his life - for the peaceful future of our people," said Natalka Boichenko, the sister of the deceased's wife. The warrior was buried in his native village. Volodymyr is survived by his wife, daughter, mother and brothers.
