Volodymyr P. Tyndyk (Poltava)

Senior Sergeant Volodymyr Tyndyk (call sign Poltava) was killed on July 6, 2023 in the area of the settlement of Yampil in Donetsk region. While holding back the enemy's assault on the positions, the defender received a fatal explosive injury. He would have turned 45 on July 22. Volodymyr was born and lived in Hadiach, Poltava region. He studied at the Hadiach Specialized Boarding School named after Ye. P. Kocherhin. He obtained the profession of a gas cutter at the Veprikivskyi Professional Agrarian Lyceum. He worked in his specialty at the Research and Production Enterprise "NAFTOGASSERVICE". In 2014-2015, he participated in the ATO as part of the 23rd separate motorized infantry battalion "Khortytsia". He was awarded medals and decorations. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the man voluntarily took up the defense of the Motherland, as he above all sought to protect the sovereignty and integrity of our state. He served in the 4th separate tank brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. He held the position of a mortar crew commander. Since March 2022, he has been defending the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. 1.5 months before his death, Volodymyr was transferred to the position of a machine gun platoon shooter. In June 2022, the fighter was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree. "Volodymyr sincerely believed in victory and put maximum effort into it. All the brothers-in-arms of my husband will confirm that he was a brave, experienced and strong warrior, very responsible, reliable, devoted and worthy comrade, he was never indifferent to the grief of others and always fought for justice. My husband is a reliable support, my rear, my wings, a piece of my heart, which the cursed war took from me. Deep bow to him and to everyone who gave the most precious - their life..." - said the wife of the fallen Oksana. The warrior was buried in his hometown. At home, Volodymyr was awaited by his wife and two daughters.
