  Born on November 10, 1981, in the urban-type settlement of Pechenga, Pechengsky District, Murmansk Oblast (Russian Federation). Since 1999, he lived in the Voznesensky District of Mykolaiv Oblast. In August 2014, he was mobilized to the 79th Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0224, Mykolaiv city). From the fall of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On February 22, 2015, soldier Vakolyuk was killed in battle in the area of the village of Shyrokyne, Volnovakha District, Donetsk Oblast. He is buried in the cemetery of the village of Martynivske, Voznesensky District, Mykolaiv Oblast.
