Volodymyr S. Dzundza

Born on October 7, 1983, in the city of Mykolaiv. In 2001, he graduated from secondary school No. 24 in Mykolaiv. In the Armed Forces of Ukraine since July 2001. In 2005, he graduated from the General Military Faculty of the Odessa Institute of Ground Forces (now - Military Academy) with a degree in "Combat Application and Management of Mechanized Units." From June 25, 2005, to February 1, 2006, he served as the deputy commander of the supply company for humanitarian issues at the Mykolaiv Military Automobile College of the Odessa Institute of Ground Forces (Mykolaiv). From February 1, 2006, to December 26, 2007, he was the commander of the training platoon of the training company, and from December 26, 2007, he was the commander of the training platoon of the training company - training mechanized company of the training mechanized battalion of the 354th training mechanized regiment of the 169th training center of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1048, the urban-type settlement of Desna, Kozelets district, Chernihiv region). On August 4, 2010, he was discharged from military service to the reserve (due to the expiration of the contract). He lived in the village of Kunysivka, Horodenka district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. On August 15, 2015, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Snyatyn-Horodenka Combined District Military Commissariat of Ivano-Frankivsk region. He served in the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit V0425, cities of Sumy/Konotop/Hlukhiv, Sumy region). Since 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On May 22, 2016, Captain Dzundza died while performing a combat mission in the area of the urban-type settlement of Stanytsia Luhanska, Luhansk region. On May 27, 2016, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Kunysivka, Horodenka district, Ivano-Frankivsk region.
