Volodymyr S. Kryzhan (Shabash)

National Guard soldier Volodymyr Kryzhan (call sign Shabash) was killed on February 12, 2023, while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Mala Tokmachka, Zaporizhzhia region. In March, he would have turned 31 years old. Volodymyr was born and lived in Mykolaiv. He graduated from the local National Agrarian University with a degree in "Mechanization of Agriculture" and obtained the qualification of mechanical engineer. He worked as an assembler in the procurement department of a pharmaceutical warehouse company "BaDM". He was passionate about football. During the full-scale invasion, the man fought in the ranks of the 15th Operational Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. He held the position of senior mechanic - driver of the operational purpose platoon (on armored personnel carriers). "He was a good, positive and fair guy. He was always ready to help. He bravely defended his Motherland and loved his relatives," said the deceased's second cousin Maria Marushchak. The defender was buried in the village of Oleksandrivka in the Mykolaiv region. Volodymyr is survived by his parents, wife, two sons and other relatives.
