- Colonel Volodymyr Tseluiko died on October 19, 2023 near the village of Rozivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. While performing his official duties, he sustained fatal injuries as a result of a hostile drone attack. The officer was 44 years old. Volodymyr was born in the city of Balakliya, Kharkiv region. He graduated from the Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National Air Force University. He then dedicated his life to military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and was a career serviceman. The little free time he had was entirely devoted to his family. Since 2014, he has been defending Ukraine from the enemy, carrying out combat missions in the ATO/JFO zone. After February 24, 2022, he continued to fight for his country. During the full-scale war, Volodymyr held the position of Head of the Special Forces Armament Logistics Support Department of the "West" Operational Command. Throughout his service, Volodymyr was repeatedly awarded by the command, including the "For Conscientious Service" medals of the III and II degrees, "Veteran of Service", "20 Years of Conscientious Service", the MOD's "Badge of Honor" and others. Posthumously, the defender was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky of the III degree. "He was a man with a big heart and an open soul. He was the best son, a loving father, a beloved husband and a worthy person," said the officer's mother, Nina Volodymyrivna. "For the sake of victory, Volodymyr sacrificed the most precious thing - his life, in the fight for our freedom. No one can replace my beloved husband, the loving father for the children, the best son for the mother, the good brother for the sister... It is impossible to heal the pain and bitterness of losing a loved one. For us, he will forever remain a hero, but let the whole world remember at what price the victory is won..." wrote the warrior's wife, Tetyana. The military was buried in the "Nove" cemetery in Rivne, where he lived with his family. Volodymyr is survived by his mother, wife, children, sister, and other relatives and friends.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
