- Born on July 16, 1970, in the city of Kharkiv. Graduated from high school in Kharkiv.$In the late 1980s - early 1990s, he served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the USSR. Participated in the Karabakh War.$In the spring of 2014, he was mobilized as a volunteer into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a sniper in the 3rd platoon of the sniper company of the 93rd Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of Kharkiv, which has been awarded the Order of the Red Banner twice, as well as the Orders of Suvorov and Kutuzov, in the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1302 (field post V2830), the urban-type settlement of Cherkaskoye, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region).$Since June 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.$On July 10, 2014, Sergeant Volodymyr Yanchuk was severely wounded in the abdomen by a shell fragment during a battle near the village of Karlivka in the Marinka district of Donetsk region. The seriously wounded serviceman was first transported to Kharkiv and then to the Main Military Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (now the National Military Medical Clinical Center "Main Military Clinical Hospital," in Kyiv). For three weeks, doctors fought for Volodymyr Yanchuk's life, but their efforts proved futile. On August 1, 2014, the serviceman died from his injuries.$He is buried in the cemetery of the village of Lidne in Kharkiv.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
