Volodymyr V. Barchuk (Khobit)

Barchuk Volodymyr Vasylovych was born on December 24, 1973 in the city of Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region. In 1998, he lived in Kyiv, where he started his own business. On June 25, 2021, he signed a contract with the Territorial Defense Forces of Kyiv. In the first hours of the full-scale Russian invasion, he volunteered for the front. On February 24, 2022, he was already defending one of the airports in Kyiv. He participated in the battles for the cities of Irpin and Bucha. During the defense of Kharkiv, he was appointed commander of the 8th rifle company of the 130th battalion of the Territorial Defense Forces of Kyiv. He was killed on June 22, 2022 while performing a combat mission in the village of Dementiyivka in the Kharkiv region. He was buried in the city of Boyarka in the Kyiv region.
