Volodymyr V. Chernov (Shef)

Senior soldier Volodymyr Chernov (call sign Chef) was killed on October 6, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Nova Kamyanka in the Kherson region. The warrior was 42 years old. Volodymyr was from the city of Starokostiantyniv in the Khmelnytskyi region. He graduated from Khmelnytskyi Vocational Technical School No. 18. He worked at a local newspaper, engaged in layout design. He completed his mandatory military service. He then got married and moved to the village of Chorna Hora. Later, he transitioned to the advertising business. His last place of work was the company "Advertising Agency." He planned to start his own business but never had the chance. When the full-scale war began, he promptly packed his things and went to the military enlistment office. He later joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As part of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade, he went to the front lines. He held the position of a shooter-paramedic. "An unparalleled father, a wise and intelligent person, with responsibility at the highest level," said the son of the deceased, Serhiy. The defender was buried in the village of Vovcha Hora in the Khmelnytskyi region. At home, Volodymyr was awaited by his parents, wife, and two children.
