- Sailor Volodymyr Denysenko was killed on April 15, 2023 near the village of Novokalynove in the Donetsk region. While performing his duties, the soldier received fatal injuries during an enemy mortar attack. The defender was 46 years old. Volodymyr was born in the village of Slobidka, Vinnytsia region. He studied at the Pavlivska secondary school. He then obtained the profession of a tractor driver at the Illintsi vocational school. He lived in Vinnytsia. He worked as a combine harvester assistant and a tractor driver. He participated in the ATO in Donbas. During the full-scale Russian invasion, on February 28, 2022, Volodymyr joined the ranks of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 88th battalion of the 35th separate brigade of the naval infantry named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Ostrohradskyy. He was a machine gunner. His comrades-in-arms called him Vovchyk or Vovka. "He was a very kind and hardworking person. He always came to help, was a loving husband, a caring father, the best grandfather for his grandson, whom he simply adored. He respected his relatives and friends. Strong and courageous. He is the best for us," said the deceased's daughter Marina. The marine was buried in his native village. At home, Volodymyr was awaited by his mother, wife, daughter, grandson, sisters and brother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
