Volodymyr V. Dizhak

23-year-old senior soldier Volodymyr Dizhak was killed on July 10, 2024 near the settlement of Druzhba in the Donetsk region. During the mortar shelling of the positions, he received fatal injuries. Volodymyr was born in the village of Ozhydiw, Lviv region. He studied at the Ozhydiw Secondary School of I-III degrees. From childhood, he was sociable, friendly, and caring. He was most passionate about the automotive industry. He had a keen sense of patriotism and national consciousness. After completing 9 grades, he entered the Oleskyi Lyceum, which he graduated from in 2018. After reaching the age of majority, Volodymyr signed a contract with the 44th Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and dedicated himself to military affairs. He carried out combat missions in the territory of the Joint Forces Operation. During the full-scale invasion, he fought for Ukraine in the ranks of the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade, where he held the position of a rifleman - a crew member. "He was a beloved husband, a good, loving father. He always supported me, asked not to worry, even though I could see that he was having a very hard time himself. The last time he left, he was more positive than ever," said the wife of the fallen Marta. Volodymyr was buried in his native village. He left behind his parents, sister, wife, and a son who was 2 years old at the time of his father's death.
