Volodymyr V. Dushko (Shakhtar)

30-year-old serviceman Volodymyr Dushko (call sign Miner) was killed on July 7, 2022, during an enemy artillery shelling in the area of the village of Verkhnyokamyanske, Donetsk region. Volodymyr was born in the village of Shevchenko in the Dnipropetrovsk region. After school, he obtained secondary technical education at the Dnipropetrovsk Technical School. In his free time, he loved to play football and go fishing. During the full-scale war, the man defended Ukraine in the ranks of the 80th separate airborne assault brigade. He was a sniper. Together with his comrades, he was on the front lines from the first days in different directions. "Volodymyr was a very good and sincere guy. He was cheerful and funny... He had a wonderful smile... This is all our Vovka!" - said Lyudmyla, the wife of the deceased's brother. The defender was buried in his native village of Shevchenko in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Volodymyr is survived by his mother and brother. He did not have time to start his own family. Soldier Volodymyr Dushko was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
