Volodymyr V. Fil

Soldier Volodymyr Fil was killedon February 26, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region. He was 26 years old. Volodymyr was from the Rivne region. He lived in the city of Varash. In 2018, he graduated with a master's degree from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky, where he studied at the Faculty of Electrical Power Engineering and Automation. During the full-scale Russian invasion, in the fall of 2022, Volodymyr was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the anti-aircraft artillery platoon of the 13th separate airborne assault battalion named after the Hero of Ukraine, Colonel Taras Seniuk, as part of the 95th Separate Airborne Brigade. "My classmate Volodymyr Fil, a graduate of the Department of Power Stations, FEA, KPI, has died. Eternal memory! I feel sorrow and hatred..." wrote Dmytro Mechynanu. "Eternal memory to the polytechnic who gave his life for the Motherland. The National Technical University of Ukraine 'Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute' expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of the fallen warrior," the university website stated. The defender was buried in the village of Stara Rafalivka in the Rivne region. Volodymyr is survived by his loved ones and friends.
