- Born on February 26, 1988, in the village of Pershotravneve, Magdalynivskyi District, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. In 2005, he graduated from the general education school of the village of Pershotravneve, and in 2011, he graduated from Dnipropetrovsk State Agrarian University (now Dnipropetrovsk State Agrarian and Economic University) with a degree in "veterinary medicine." He engaged in farming. From April 2013, he served under contract in the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (A1126, the urban-type settlement of Hvardiyiske, Novomoskovskyi District, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast), holding the position of sergeant of material and technical support for the company. From April 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. In August 2014, Junior Sergeant Kandela was part of a group of volunteers defending the strategic height of Savur-Mohyla (Shakhtarsk District, Donetsk Oblast). On August 19, 2014, Junior Sergeant Kandela was killed during the assault on Savur-Mohyla by Russian terrorists. He was inside the memorial to the heroes of Savur-Mohyla when he was shot by an enemy tank. Mortally wounded, Junior Sergeant Kandela shielded his severely wounded commander, Colonel Potyokhin, with his body.
