      Died on January 15, 2016, in a hospital in the city of Sloviansk, Donetsk region, from complications of pneumonia, which he contracted while serving in a field camp of the unit in the city of Sloviansk, Donetsk region.

      • Born on February 19, 1971, in the village of Tyutky, Vinnytsia district, Vinnytsia region. Graduated from a general education school. In January 2015, he was mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Vinnytsia District Military Commissariat of Vinnytsia region. He served in the 5th battalion tactical group of the 81st separate airborne brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1493 (field post V2749), city of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region). Since 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On January 15, 2016, Senior Soldier Karas died of pneumonia in the military hospital of the city of Sloviansk, Donetsk region. On January 21, 2016, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Tyutky, Vinnytsia district, Vinnytsia region.
